My son is 8 almost 9.... and his room is decorated in 'camo' or 'army' depending on when you ask him. LOL! He had this shelf since he was a baby...it used to be light blue but I decided it needed a makeover.

2 new cards!
The first one I made using pre-fab stuff from a kit I got off of QVC.... that Lisa Bearnson gets me buying everytime!!!
I added some plain paper and a flower I cut from A walk in my Garden cricut cart... and some popdots for the sentiment..
Second card I made for my Aunt's birthday tomorrow. She will be 73!!! She loves butterflys so I cut this one from Indie Art. I did the blackout feature for vellum on the bottom layer... lots of stickles....

My Scrap Area!
I have wanted to post these pics up for sometime so here they are!!
~ This is my L shaped desk. I sit here and work in front of my cricut. The Large storage container is all my scrap papers seperated according to color. I have two boxes that hold all my cards, and two embellishment cases one holds brads and the other fibers. There are 5 or so paper holders (8 1/2 x 11) size that I haven't filled up yet. One hold paper piecing books and images. One holds magazines and 2 hold extra paper.
extra pic of that area:
The left side of my desk. There are all my paper stacks and some standing paper holders to hold patterened paper, single 12x12 and 8 1/2 x 11. Also a storage thingy I got at target for all my tiny embelishments. Above that are my two enclosed spots on the hutch:
left side:
All my new albums, page kits and pages I completed that need to go in albums. As well as all my quickutz alpha dies.
right side:
stamping, glitter and flocking supplies!!
top drawer at workspace... holds all stickles, adhesive, chalks, MM tool kit
second drawer:
cricut carts and punches. ... I have more now lol!! almost too many to fit in that drawer!!:o
I have the slide out thingy where your keyboard would go and I put my cutting mat there. Also I have another desk in this space with my CM storage box of pictures. I am going to be adding more to the space soon. I bought a rack and I plan on putting my personal PC down there soon.

Christmas layout!
Most of you don't know but I am mostly a chronological scrapper. I started when my first son was born in 2000 and I am just about to finish Dec 2006!!! I am so happy!!! This may not sound like a lot but I have over 16 scrapbooks most have several replacement pages added!!! It is A TON of scrappin! I must take over 1000 pics a year if not more. If we go on vacation I might take 1000 just on one trip!!! LOL!!
Ok now to this layout. It is Christmas Eve 2006 - at my MIL's house.
I used PDDU for Santa and reindeer, SYI for Holly, and Cuttin Up for the words. It is simple but thats the kinda scrapper I am. ;D

Indiana Jones Paper Doll!!
I made these to add one to a card for my nephew's birthday card. What little boy doesn't love Indiana? I used PDDU ~
recipe:
hair p 40
whip p 64
body - 5 inch w/blackout head behind
satchel - bow p 60 cut straight part off... body on page 70... (then I think I cut the solid body on page 71? in a smaller size and folded over the first body)
shirt - p 32
pants p66
boots - p 36
hat - p 66
gun - p 62 - cut down
jacket - p 67 - blackout shirt cut in half.
I embossed the rope (whip) with copper embossing powder and then inked with a black slick writer pen for lines. All pieces are chalked.

3 more cards
These are for Okie's Challenge over at the cricut website. Love the challenge... hating my cards this week.
Challenge #1
A boys birthday card... It is the first time I tried covering chipboard with patterened paper...
Sketch #2
Used PDDU for the genie lamp. I thought this was whimsical but something is missing....
sketch #3
This is a recessed window card. Well I didn't like the way it turned out so I covered the window with a frame. Then just started adding stuff... lol!!

Disney World Scrapbook Pages
I loved creating these Disney layouts from our last Disney trip. My kids love looking back and seeing the pictures and it is fun to have to theme the layouts for each group. The first is Kermit from Muppets and then Flick from Ants life. I think the two titles and split page worked well.
I used Stretch your imagination and Paper Doll Dress Up for the bogs. Cuttin Up, Mini Monagrams for title ( and maybe Jubilee?? not sure!! LOL!!)
Disney and Friends cart used for Mickey and Pluto. Stitch is my youngest son's favorite character so we had to stop by and see him.
Making the characters from Star Wars was tricky but fun. I modified the Paper doll dress up to change up the basic dolls. This is one of my favorite cartridges.
close up of Chewbacca made with PDDU and Mickey font for alpha.
Darth Maul:
... the picture is from Disney's Star Wars Weekends at Disney World.

Recipe: PDDU for Clown, cuttlebug embossing folder for background paper.

My first freezer paper tees
The newest or rather hottest thing over at the cricut boards is making Freezer paper ts.
There is an excellent video on youtube on how to make these but the directions are fairly simple.
Directions:
1. you need tshirt, fabric paints, freezer paper, cricut and very sticky cutting mat.
2. cut freezer paper to fit on cutting mat, and place matte side down.
3. Push ''Flip'' button on cricut... pick image and cut. ((If doing words you have to spell the words backwards (think mirror image) because when you flip it over it won't spell correctly with the flip))
4. Put shiny side down on shirt and iron. Wait for it to dry and fill in stencil with paint.
Voila!!
Now the project. My kids are currently 7 and 8... and they made up a 'superhero' club type thing complete with theme song... LOL!! Called ''Doggie Twins'' so they asked me to make them tshirts for that:
Front:
One final tip: Keep the paint you are working with close by to avoid drips. My first shirt I didn't keep my palatte close enough and dripped red paint. Also those paints in the squeezy things tend to seperate and they don't paint well if you don't shake really well.
Carts used: PDDU for ship and car, Cuttin Up for words

Cricut Layout Indie Art Cartridge
This is a layout from 2006 ~ well December of 2006 ~ which means I am about to scrap 2007 because I like to go chronologically!! LOL!!
Anyways: I used Indie art for the bandaids cut at 2 1/4 (I think) and cuttin up serif font for the font cut at 1 inch. I love both those cartridges but especially Indie Art. I use it all the time!!

cards & embossing!
Well, last night I talked DH into taking me to Michaels. I was able to get two new embossing folders. Of course right now the names of them escape me but I will try to get it posted this weekend. I got to play making one card last night. I don't know why I didn't get one of those cuttlebugs before??!! It just adds so much to the look of standard cardstock. Today I made 3 cards for Cricut Card Fairys. If you don't know what that is go to the Cricut.com ... messageboards. And look for a topic. There are many many wonderful women there that make cards for people who need encouraging, have lost a loved one ... and other events. What a great way to 'pay it forward' with my cricut and cardmaking. I just joined and had 3 assignments this week. It was awesome to send an encouraging word to someone else. I also said a prayer for each person I sent a card to. It gives me a chance to pray for someone new too!!
Tomorrow is the last day of swim lessons for my kids! I am amazed at how much they learned and thankful they got to take them. The pool they went is about an hour from my house though. So PTL it is over tomorrow!!! Going to try to spend Saturday and Monday scrappin! I figure the kids are tired and haven't seen their toys all week so they will love playing at home for a change.
Will post some new projects this weekend!
