First dates.....

Hope you all have a safe & fun Halloween.

I don't know what it is but I kinda love Halloween. We try to have people over each year and I always make a big crock of meatballs. I am 33 and I think I didn't dressup a total of 3 yrs! LOL!! My hubby and I had our first date 13 years ago today. I wish I had a pic we went trick or treating..... he dressed as a girl & me as a boy. His parents remarked later that they were worried... because they met me in costume and at 20 yrs old I really was little and young looking.. I guess they thought I was either 12 or really a boy!! LOL!!

Easter Layout - Graphically Speaking

As I said in another post a good friend lent me her cricut carts. Well, Graphically Speaking was one and I can tell you I am totally buying this one!! It is AMAZING. Until you look through the book and see all the different words and designs you can cut. The Best of Friends was cut from there. Paper was from an old pack I bought at target on clearance. Green & Blue papers are DCWV ~ I used white ink to rough it up and match the green gigham background paper. Alphalicious used for Easter 2007 ... and the little eggs are from a sticker sheet I won off of blog candy!
I love how this turned out!! Prob one of my most favorite layouts and it was of course a simple /quick one to produce!!
Thanks for looking!

Zoo Layout

I borrowed Animal Kingdom from a friend and it worked perfect for the animals on these layouts. I used AK for the rhino, giraffes & Zoo. Alphalicious for font title. Little animals are Forest Friends stamps... and giraffe paper is from Creative memories zoo series.

Christmas layout ~ Winter Wonderland, Doodlecharms

I am a basic scrapper. I like embellishments and I really enjoy making my own ( paper piecing mostly cricut!) My good friend recently lent me some cartridges and Doodlecharms was one. I really like the cutsy images... it is similiar to Stretch Your Imagination though which I already have. Joy is cut from Winter Wonderland... Santa/reindeer from Doodlecharms
Stockings from Doodlecharms cut on charm feature. I added my family's names on them just like real ones would have.

I should've cut a black mat for Santa but I had already did it in white when I started building my page so I just chalked it red. Googly eyes finish him off.

Love the JOY font from WW!! I think the googly eyes make the reindeer!!
Thanks for looking! I love comments and would love to hear yours!!

Speaking of Fall ~ cards!

I made these cute guys with my cousin Erica's Speaking of Fall cartridge. I've found yet another cartridge I want!! There were some really cute cards on there!!

The little leaves on the inside of the cards are from Creative Memories leaf punch out. I stickled them in copper and then decided to 'glimmer Mist' em with my homemade green mist!!

Homemade Glimmer Mist!

Ok so my friend Sandy was cleaning out supplies and asked if I wanted anything... and this is what she brought me... 6 jars of Pearl EX!!! Which of course I immediatly knew I would make Glimmer mist. So I asked over at the cricut messageboard how to do it and of course the gals over there all know how to do EVERYTHING!! I was directed to a youtube video from Tim Holtz... and this is what he said...

Buy those mini-misters , and some ink refills (I bought alcohol inks).... add a scope of pearl ex and water ( not quite to the top) and shake well....

I made green, red/pink and purple... you can't see the sheen but it is pure glitter!!! They came out beautiful!! I used my heat gun to dry the paper faster.... Now what to use them for????

So here is a question... what else can I do with those alcohol inks???

Echo in Bone ~ Diana Gabaldon's newest

****POSSIBLE SPOILERS ~ JUST KINDA ***

Ok so Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series ( this book is the latest from it) is amazing. However the last book was supposed to be the last!!! So I still grabbed this one to read because I am a devoted fan ( and you have to be because the books are almost 1000 pages each!!) Well, while this was a good book it was a CLIFFHANGER!! Which means after reading over 800 pages I still don't know what happens to my beloved characters!!! Sorry to rant but well who else can a rant to? My DH doesnt' get me crying over characters in a book at all!! LOL!

If you are looking for an amazing historical series ~ this is it!!! Lots of facts and a beautiful Scotch Highlander to drool over!!! :D

Quick Get Well Card

I love the dollar stamps at Micheal's. This cute little Owl is one of those wooden ones for $1!! Inside stamp is from a Stampin Up set. Patterned paper is from a pack I got at Target on clearance at least 4 yrs ago!!

Hope you enjoy... sorry I haven't been posting but I haven't been feeling well and when I don't feel well I tend to read/watch tv instead of crafting. I have a big project I will be working on soon for my kid's classmates so I will post that as soon as I get it going!

Do you dream of scrappin?

I think for the last week I've been dreaming of scrapbooking! I've dreamt of the gypsy, my cricut...stamps, Projects to make! I think my mind is just "there" lately! It might be because I just don't have the time to 'create' like I did in the summer. :D

40 sucks bouquet ~ lollipops included!!

My step-brother is turning 40!! yay!! I made this for part of his gift!

I bought the bowl at Walmart, along with wooden dowels and the shredded paper. The shiny happy birthday thing is from the dollar store and is a center piece. Made the center banner using Cricut Design Studio (for the first time!! yay!! And it cut slow but perfect!!) and Cuttin up / Plantin Schoolbox.
