We are expecting #3!

Here is our new lil Bean! After 4 years of hoping (& praying) for another lil one God has Blessed us with a healthy Bean! I am 8 weeks along (2 months) due on 11/10/2010. I have never gone to my due date though so I expect this one won't be any different.
I haven't been crafting too much because I've been so sick! Hopefully that will only last another few weeks and I will feel better. So that is why you haven't seen much of me on here!

Bibleman DVD review

I recently was able to view a copy of Bibleman: Combating the Commandant of Confusion ~ a live adventure. This DVD was action packed! Talk about adventure! Bibleman is a great hero for children and I just love how he quotes scripture throughout his adventure.

This adventure was a filmed live show where the audience is part of a Bible Training Academy. I don't want to give too much away but the live action fighting was AWESOME! My 9 year old was impressed with the sword play. There was plenty of drama and music to keep you captivated!

The best part of this DVD was that Bibleman tells you how you can become a Soldier for Christ. There is a Salvation message at the end and a call to God! I just loved it ~ my son asked if we could watch it again!

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Wild Card #27 ~ The Hello Card

Another shape card! (The next one is too!) This time it was a phone... it is cute but I just can't think of things to do with it!

Photobucket

I used Coordinations cardstock for the first time with this project. I didn't really like it. It doesn't sand as well as I'd like and it is on the thick side so I had to pop the cuts out. I have a few more sheets of it so I will try it agian, next time to emboss with. The envelope I used American Crafts papers. (I love them!!) The print has lil houses on it and I thought it went so cute with the phone!

Thanks for looking & see ya with another card on Thursday!

Fantabulous Cricut Project #3 ~ Bling it On

For this project I used a notebook I had purchased for 50cents at Micheal's. It had a monogram on it so I covered it with Bazzil Bling cardstock. Then I cut 4 squares and used the cuttlebug to emboss with Swill Dots. I used Paisley for the 4 pairs of shoes. Each shoe has different bling with stickles & glitter paper & rhinestones.

Photobucket

I gave this to my niece for her 9th birthday! She liked it! Be sure to check out more projects at the http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ website & I hope you will join in the challenges with us!

Congrats to Flowerdisco (& the others!)

My Pink Stamper announced her design team last night via Ustream... although I missed it this morning I checked her website and I saw Flowerdisco's name there!! I am not surprised seeing as we have seen first hand how talented she is!! So Congrats Flowerdisco!!!

Now I thought I would show my submission to the Design Team:

I used Plantin Schoolbox for the cardholder (had to trim the side because my cards didn't quite fit) and Paisley for the card. I loved this project and ended up giving it to me niece that declared it too cute to use!! LOL!

Wild Card #26 The Branch

I have to say I was dreading this card. It is just not my style. However I've changed my mind! It is a beautiful card and really easy to work with!!

This is the 26th card in the booklet. I cut it at 7 inches (envelope too) and used SEI papers (the brown is DCWV). They cut so nice and I love the greens & browns.

Wild Card #23 Flower Card

I don't like shape cards!! I know I said it but it is true! I just don't have any inspiration when it comes to them!

This is #25 in our book and it is a flower card. I used DCWV flower shower papers for it.

WC # 24 flower

I used a piece of naked chipboard in the center and added glitter to the center of that. Honestly I was a bit at a loss to what to do with this one!! LOL!

Once again thanks for looking!

Wild Card #23 The Porthole

It is Thursday!! It is also Hello Thursday over at cricut.com's messageboards and they are planning a big release of new cartridges!! Yay!!

So today we have #23 in the series (and the 23rd in the handbook!) It is the porthole card and it is a tiny lil thing! Who knew? The card in the book showed a heart and so I decided to do something different since there was a sun on the page as well.

Ok so here is my card:

Photobucket

I cut the sun on the handbook page and I used the font on the cart for the HI, it is the first time I've used this font and I really like it! I used Bazzill Bling cardstock for the yellow paper and it sparkles , and DCWV glitter paper for the sun ~ the ribbon was from Target's $1 spot sometime ago!

Thanks for looking!!

Target revamped and they now sell CRICUT!!

I just ran to Target this morning and they've clearanced out a bunch of stuff and put out a whole cricut section!!! Now the prices were crazy $72.39 for a cart and they were all oldies (Graphically Speaking, Calligraphy, Stretch Your Imagination, Jasmine & 1 other I forget) but who cares because Target CLEARANCES everything eventually!!!! Yay!! There were also cricut markers, deep cutting blade and replacement blades!!

I am just so excited!

Anyways!

Today is Wild Card Tuesday and we did the Thinking of you card. It is similar to the card we did last week, very simple!

Here is mine:

Photobucket

I used paper from K & Company. I love their stacks because they match the paper for you. Everything in the stack coordinates!!

Wild Card #22 Quotes card

This is a cute simple card, I didn't come up with anything exciting for it.

Here is my version:

#22

I used a paper pack I had gotten from Target about 5 yrs ago on Clearance to make this card. (I love Target and I especially love their clearance!) I added Prima's and a button to the card and cut the title twice and layered it)

Thanks for looking today ~ and if you like what you see please leave a comment!!

Gone Fishing ~ Life's a Beach Layout

Once again the pics are not that good but I wanted to create a layout so I scrapped them anyways! LOL! They are from my oldest's birthday party 2 yrs ago at the Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill, NJ. I used Life's a Beach for title & fishes and Everyday Paper dolls for the fishing rod. I used some patterned paper on the bottom that I had in my 'stinky' paper collection! LOL! Trying to use that stuff up! Title & fishes were cut with scraps. It is hard to tell in this pic but I embossed the fishing rod in silver in several places to look like a real rod. Added a laundry hook from Making Memories Vintage findings for the hook. (I also cut part of the rod off)

Hope you enjoy!

Disney Layout

This is a layout I made using Mickey & Friend's Cricut cartridge. I didn't have the greatest pics of my kid's pin trading ~ but it was a big part of that trip so I wanted to do a layout with it.... Close up of one of the 'charms'

Hope you enjoyed my layout!

Shopping fun!!

I am so BLESSED!! My Dear Hubby John took me to my cousin's house in DE so we could spend the morning shopping!! We went to her local scrapbook store ((shout out to the TWO WONDERFUL LADIES shopping with us! We had a great time ~ hope you both enjoy your loot!) At that LSS they were having a scrapbook yardsale and there were deals to be had. We also hit AC Moore, Michaels & Joanns!! What fun!

I finally gave in and bought all 3 of these new stacks from DCWV ~ they are perfect for spring! Here are the baubles and things I got at the various stores!

Now I have special plans for both of these. My cousin Erica (link on the right ~ Sweet and Crafty Treats) plan on both doing these together and seeing what we can come up with. One is a paint can (can anyone tell me what the weight on the handle is for?) and the other is a photo cube kit... should be fun!

Finally my Scrapbook Yard Sale loot ~ I spent under $17 for all that ~ there is set of chipboard pieces in the corner, a big pack of CTMH paper, and a kit from Oriental trading... plus lots of other stuff...

So I had a blast spending money today! LOL! I am too wiped to actual scrap though so that will have to wait til tomorrow!! haha! Hope you had a great Saturday!

Wild Card #20 ~ The Pinwheel Card

I can't believe we've completed the second row on the keyboard!! 20 cards!! I hope you are enjoying seeing each card and getting inspired to make your own!

This card has a pinwheel on the top..... meaning you can put a lil brad in it and spin the wheel revealing different sentiments. I choose the words : hi & hello. Not terribly creative... and I prob won't make a card like this again... lol.

#20

I used left over papers ... I think it came out alright! LOL!

Well that is this weeks cards.... I have a layout that I will be posting sometime this weekend...but I work on thurs/friday ... and Sat I am going to visit my cousin and do some scrapbook supply shopping with her!! She lives about an hour away in DE and has different stores around her so it should be a BLAST!

Thanks for looking!

Blog Awards!

I've been given this blog award twice now (just got around to posting it!) LOL!

1st from Paper Scissors : http://longlivescissorsandpaper.blogspot.com/

and then from Nadya at : http://myworldnadya.blogspot.com/

Both Ladies have great projects on their blogs!!
Ok, so the rules for this award are:

1) Add a link and note of thanks to the person giving the award

2) Pass the award on to 7 bloggers whose blogs you have recently discovered that you love

3) Share 7 things about yourself.

I added links for the awards but I am not going to be passing this around, don't want anyone to feel obligated to post and I just passed one around last week. I will type my 7 things though!

7 Things about me:

1 ~ I Love The Lord, God my Personal Savior

2 ~ I wanted to be Madonna (yes that singer) when I was little (not anymore but I did back then!! LOL)

3 ~ I've always scrapbooked since I was little but it was magazine clippings and such back then.

4 ~ I would love to have another child .... Lord willing

5 ~ I am the youngest of 7 .... 2 brothers, 2 step-brothers, 1 step-sister, and 1 sister - I didn't meet my 'biological' sister until I was 17.... the same year I gained 3 step-siblings... so I only grew up with my two brothers but now I have a nice big family!

6 ~ I would love to be an author... I have several stories in my head and someday I will put them on paper and perhaps get them published.

7 ~ I am terrified to fly.

So that is 7 things!! LOL!!

I am a winner!!

I won amazing Blog Candy over at Penny's blog : http://lightwhimsy.blogspot.com/
Thanks so much to Penny for doing this!! It was a gift certificate to Custom Crops ~ which will be my first time ordering from them...

I ended up picking two cartridges and paper in that order... Designer's Calendar and Forever Young. It was really hard to choose!! I almost went for the bind it all but then changed my mind at the last min!

If you haven't been to Penny's blog I suggest you go there straight away! She does amazing cards!!

Thanks again Penny!

Wild Card #19 Wave

This is the 19th card in the book. Personally not my favorite. I don't like tri-folds. I cut the card & envelope at 6 3/4 (( Be careful with fit to page because the envelope will cut at 7 inches but the card only goes to 6 3/4)

Here is my card:

#19

I layered several flowers and sprayed them with my homemade purple glimmer mist. A ribbon is attached to the flowers to keep the card closed.

Can I Take Your Order ~ layout

I think this layout is just so cute! I cut the squares with my Creative Memories square punch and added plates w/silverware from From My Kitchen. Did you know that cart does not have the saying MENU on it? It should! These pics are from my other son's birthday party 2 years ago we went to the Discovery Museum ~ in the Diner play area. My son is on the top and his good friend is on the bottom. I could have used these pics with a birthday theme and went on like that but I decided to go out of the box with the pics so that they would have better layouts than birthday theme. I cut one of the words on the FMK cart and then cut the word out and added stickers.

Here is a close up of the squares & plates.... the squares match their aprons.
