Update on Me!!

I am officially in my 2nd trimester now... 14 weeks along. Sometime in June we will be able to find out what this baby is, I am so excited to know!

The kids are done school the last week of May and it will be wonderful to have them home! I am planning on doing a few crafting projects with them and will post pics as we get them done.

As for today... It is the day I usually post my Wild Card, I didn't get it done yet for this week because I ended up in the ER on Wed night and didn't get home til after midnight the next day.... I am just not use to staying up that late! Since I've been pregnant I've been in bed by 8-9pm most nights! So I'm going to try to get it done today if possible but we will see. Still have to do all the things I missed Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Lastly, I want to say thank you to my faithful followers on this blog. I know I am not posting like I was but I hope to get back to that starting in June!

Wild Card #39 ~ the Gift Card

Today we have #39 in our series! (only 11 to go!) I decided that I wanted to make something usefull for me and made a graduation card for my oldest nephew who will graduate from highschool in 3 weeks!! (I feel so old!! ) I actually cried at his 17th birthday because I remember when he was little and babysitting him. I can't believe he is all grown up now!! He is at least 6'6 and has to bend in half to give me a kiss now!! LOL!!

Ok here is the card... burgandy is the school color!

I used two stamps. The cap is stamped then cut out and I used dimensionals to pop it.

Wild Card #38 - #1 card

It is teacher's appreciation week so I thought I would make the kid's teachers a card.... thinking about getting some flowers as well to bring them after school today...

Here is my card:

I tried to use some papers that are 'school' themed. I didn't make the envelope since it will fit in a standard A2 one, and I plan on giving it to someone specific already.

Thanks for looking!!

Wild Card #37 - The Pumpkin

Can you believe we are on #37 already? I think this might have been one of the cuts I bought this cart for! LOL! That said we really don't do 'spooky Halloween' at my house. I always try to keep in mind how I will use the cards I am making in the future (sometimes I make them with a specific use) so I thought 'Harvest' since I would be more likely to use that.

Did I mention I LOVE pumpkins? I must own about 20 pumpkin stamps!!! LOL!

Ok here is my card:

NSD Challenge #3 - Outside the Box

Challenge #3 was to "Think outside the Box" For this card I made the background paper on the top by ink 2 different colors on a background stamp. I have a few background stamps but I never think to do it!

NSD Challenge #2 - Get Scrappy

For challenge #2 - Get Scrappy - You had to use scraps.

It is actually funny because my scraps are from the cards I made for Challenge #3 ..... nope didn't do them in order since I'm starting late!! LOL!

NSD 2010 - MPS Challenge #1

Challenge # 1 is called ''Mother Dear'' - make a project with Mom in mind.

I did my Mother's Day card (well cards did one for MIL too).
All products used were Stampin Up!! Using my new stash today!! LOL!
Are you going to join My Pink Stamper for her fun challenges & giveaways?

Yardsale - Stampin Up Mother load!!

Ok I got yardsaling just about every Saturday from April to September.... and today I hit a good one!!! I missed out on some of the stuff because there was another lady snatching things practically out of my hand! I bet she was going to sell on ebay! She said the classic - oh this is for a friend bit and you know that usually means ... EBAY! So I bought 62 sets of stampin up stamps....
This bin of assorted beads, buttons and tons of metal tags ( I have no idea what to do with them!)

A few stacks of pattern paper and packaged paper (I think I bought 4 whisper whites, one natural and like 5 others)
Then the MOTHERLOAD of paper!!!

I have no idea how many sheets there are but it is a lot and many are normal everyday colors!!! I also got a full bin of precut card making supplies (this lady was a demonstrator) so all you have to do is assemble the cards! How easy!!
I was so excited... I have to say I went twice to this yardsale because she had a full bin of stamp pads & reinkers and for some reason I didn't buy them up the 1st time...went home and knew I had to go back. Of course the ebay lady was snatching them up too... who knows what else she got because she was buying like crazy!
I still did good. So most of my NSD is going to be organizing...now.
Oh I didn't mention the price I paid.... $100 even!!!! I think it was WELL worth it!!
