Friendship #abcblogging

I wasn't always a good friend.  I know at times I still am not the greatest but thankfully my real friends over look those bad qualities.  Which qualities?  Being self-centered, selfishness, talking too much with little listening... you know all those wonderful qualities!

So a few years back I realized I only had a handful of friends.  I started to reach out to God and ask him to send me friends but to also make me a better friend.

What does the bible say about friendship:

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. - Proverbs 17:17

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. - Proverbs 13:20

So to be a good friend we need to love at all times.  How?  By praying for our friends and by checking on them often to see if there is a need or just how they are doing.

The second verse is equally important.  We need to be cautious who we call friend and who we pal around with!  I don't want to be grouped in with a companion of fools!!

I happy to say that The Lord answered my prayers!  I have three very good friends (and a few great friends) now.  They are the type that call/text when something is going on.  They offer help, advice or just to listen.  They pray for me and for any prayer request I have!  It is really a relief to know they are praying for me ( and I do the same for them!)  They love me and want to see me succeed and thrive in all areas of my life! Lastly,  they are a hoot to be around with and I cherish our Mommy nights as well as our fellowships with all the families!

I hope you have at least one friend that fits both of those verses above.  If not leave a reply and I will pray for that need for you!
