GOOD MORNING YOGA #bookreview & Blog Tour!

I have a sweet book to share with you today - Good Morning Yoga: A Pose-by-pose Wake Up Story by Mariam Gates. This is a beautiful children's book that introduces them to twelve different poses in yoga all while hearing a story.

About:

( ages 4-8)

This "wake up" story is so much more than a story. It is an encouraging tale reminding kids and parents to greet each morning with joy as they start their adventures.

My Thoughts:

I love how adorable this book is. The illustrations of happy kids doing the yoga poses on each page invite kids to try to do them too. That is how we used this book. I had my five year old act out the poses as I read it to him. As homeschoolers this was a great way to get some physical fitness in our day as well.  Even though the story is meant for the morning - it could be used any time of day. Even as a reset button to slow things down and get back on track.

  2. I used to all of the time. I've started it back up recently, but I do avoid the spiritual aspects of it.

  3. I haven't done yoga in a long time, but my daughter regularly does yoga poses as a form of relaxation and she'll be using this if we won :) She would be thrilled. Thank you for the opportunity!

  10. I make a list of "things to do" every year and for my "16 things to do in 2016" one of the items is "do yoga at least once a week". I don't like to sweat or exert myself and I don't like exercise. But I have found I LOVE yoga. I now do it once or twice a week (so far this year) and I see it becoming something I do forever.
