Summer Reading: Ferocious Fluffity Book Review & Giveaway!

I don't often giggle when reading a book outloud but then again it is not often I read a book as cute and funny as Ferocious Fluffity by Erica S. Perl. Antic of a classroom pet cause the children to run and scream as they try to get away from their new and ferocious pet.

 about:

Mr. Drake’s second grade class has a new class pet. Fluffity appears to be a cute and docile hamster—but the kids soon discover that she is not the cuddly pet they expected. From the moment her cage door opens, Fluffity becomes FEROCIOUS—biting and chasing everyone down the hall and into the library! Will the class be able to tame this beast and bring peace back to their school? The bestselling team behind Chicken Butt! and Chicken Butt’s Back! has crafted another laugh-out-loud tale that’s sure to be a hit with any child who’s ever wanted a pet. Erica Perl’s pitch-perfect rhymes and Henry Cole’s over-the-top animal character make for the perfect classroom read-aloud.

My Thoughts:

This book is laugh out loud funny. Don't hate me for saying this but it is perfect for back to school which is really just around the corner! The illustrations add to the hilarity of the story line.  The bite-crazy pet causes the kids to run afraid but it is all in good fun for the reader to see this unfold on the pages. In the end the kids learn a lesson about waiting for their teacher and how to tame that wild beast Fluffity in fact their teacher rewards them with a second pet but I won't give that away. The rhyming through out the book lends to the humor with the sing-song feel. I promise you this one will be a hit for your kids!
