Shades of Doon Book 3 in Doon Series #review

Shades of Doon

by Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon

Have you been reading the Doon series? I have to say for those of you that love young adult books - like I do - this is a great series. Shades of Doon is the third book in the series and all of our loves are back. Of course there is something brewing in Doon ...

About the book:

After cheating death, Veronica Welling is determined to savor every moment in her idyllic kingdom with both her true love and best friend by her side at last. At the same time, Mackenna Reid is enthusiastically building her new life and a theater with her prince. But just as their dreams of happiness are within reach, the world Vee and Kenna have chosen is ripped away, leaving them to face their most horrific challenge yet—their old lives.

Thrust out of Doon, the best friends are confronted with tormentors from their past and no way to return to their adopted land. When the MacCrae brothers rush to their rescue, the girls’ situation turns from nightmare to modern-day fairy tale. But their happiness could be short lived: unbeknownst to them, someone in their closest circle is aiding the witch of Doon in her bid to destroy the kingdom once and for all.

 My Thoughts:

In a book series that goes longer than two books there is always a transition book and Shades of Doon is that book. All of our favorite characters are back for the fight of the lives and for Doon. Our heroines Vee and Kenna have their character stretched as they truly see what they are made of and what they are willing to do for the Calling. This was a fantastic book because it developed at a slower pace which gave us a longer glance into each of the girls thoughts and lives. I'm so excited to start Foever Doon - and thankful I have it next on my reading shelf!! I don't think I could wait to get it at the store because *SPOILER* this one ends with a lot of questions!

Get your copy of Shades of Doon or any of the other four books including Forever Doon the new release at your local book store or online at stores like Amazon.
