9th Grade Curriculum Choices for 2016-2017

I'm a little late on sharing with you all what I'm doing for homeschool this year. Honestly I didn't really finalize until about 2 weeks ago . We are about a week into school and things are going pretty well. I have two highschoolers this year! I can't believe it.

Our Choices for 9th Grade  2016-2017 School Year

Math - Teaching Textbooks Algebra I

(and if we can get into it at all we will do some geometry)

*This might be our last year with this curriculum, only because they don't offer anything online. I don't like dealing with discs anymore. If they offer something online or even maybe a flashdrive that would be a bit more modern.

Science - Guest Hollow High School Chemistry -

We did a review of this a few weeks back. The kids loved it then and now a that we are on week 2 they are still enjoying it!

History

English

Bible

Notgrass American History - Why haven't we used Notgrass before? The kids are loving it! They like that it feels like one subject and I like that it is really three credits!!!

Spanish I - Lifepac

with supplementation from books, movies and online sources. (He has already done a bit of Spanish in the last few years.

Gym / Health -

gym will be working out with Dad, Pokemon Go, and some exercise videos with mom, Abeka High School Health - frankly I bought this a few years ago and it is just sitting on my shelf. I wish I had done something else but it is thorough and here so we will do it.

That is basically the year plans. Who knows what we might add. Right now we do a nursing home ministry once a month where the kids sing and fellowship with residents. I want to do some field trips this year - shooting for one a month at the minimum.
