The Berenstain Bears Bedtime Devotional #bookreview

There is something sweet about doing devotions with little kids. They like it short and sweet but it can spark a huge discussion on some crazy topics. The Berenstain Bears have a whole Christian line of books and now they've added a sweet Bedtime Devotional by Mike Berenstain. This book includes scripture, a section called 'Carry On Cub' - which is a call to action and sweet pictures of the Bear family.

The Berenstain Bears Bedtime Devotional is perfect for little cubs settling down for a good night’s sleep. Including a devotion for each day with a reflection, Scripture, and a Bear Prayer for the End of Day from Brother, Sister, and even Honey Bear, these 90 reflections on simple Christian truths such as God loves us, love one another, be courageous and kind, and much more are the peaceful way to end a busy day.
Bear Country friends will be featured throughout in simple artwork from the Living Lights brand.

My Thoughts:

My husband recently said to me - Did you know the Berenstain Bears have Christian themed books? Of course I do! I've been reading them to our kids for a very long time. I then had to share several I had sitting on my homeschool shelf for this coming school year. I love that this brand has a heart for children and a heart to teach them about the Lord. This devotional features 90 devotions. They are not numbered so you can really pick this book up any day of the year and start. (I really like that). The devotions are sweet short stories about the cubs and what they are learning. Then there is a call to action for the kids as well as a scripture reference and short prayer. My son loved seeing his favorite cubs on the pages and those pictures really helped keep his interest when we read the devotion. This is a really nice book.
