I have a wonderful children's album to share with you by Vanessa Trien & the Jumping Monkeys! Wonderful You has an beautiful nostalgic sound that will bring a smile to your face. Lyrics focus on the world around featuring the magic and wonder of it all.
We have been enjoying the sweetness of this album. While it is a bit of rock/pop it has a lighter feel that has us all boping our heads and singing along. Feeling Thankful is one of the more mellow songs so of course that was my favorite (I just love ballads). With Thanksgiving right around the corner I love the lyrics of this one singing about being thankful for family and the world around us. Something I try to teach my children daily. Circle of Friends is another slower song singing about friendship and the give and take of that relationship. It is beautiful. Then there are songs like One Foot In Front Of The Other - a classic song that my family has always enjoyed. This rendition did not disappoint!
We've really enjoyed the sense of togetherness and love that flows from these songs. The title is fitting because it is wonderful!
About:
Musically vibrant and diverse, with guest spots by kindie music luminaries Alastair Moock, Rani Arbo, Barbara Brousal, and Mister G (Ben Gundersheimer), Wonderful YOU has an underlying theme of "community." The album gives a musical hug to the listener -- YOU -- as it celebrates neighborhoods, family, and friends coming together to play, work, live, and of course, sing and dance.Says Vanessa Trien, "Making an album as a celebration of YOU, the listener, and of our relationships with family, friends, and community has been on my mind for a long while. Along with my own two awesome kids, I fall in love with every student I teach and every young audience member with whom I speak. They always have fantastic ideas to share, and it's inspiring to see their personalities already so strong and vibrant. I wanted to make an album honoring each and every one of those kids I've been fortunate enough to meet."

Thank you for posting such a kind and flattering review of my new "Wonderful YOU" album! I'm honored you chose to review it, thank you, I appreciated all you wrote! FYI, my song "One Foot in Front of the Other" is actually a new song I wrote myself, but the beginning (and obviously the title) is uncannily and unconsciously a lot like the song in "The Year Without a Santa Claus," isn't it??? Well, it was one of my favorite holiday shows growing up! : ) Thanks again for your sweet review!
