Have you seen the Love Letters from God books from Glenys Nellist? There is a new book in the series that is centered around the birth of Jesus. Christmas Love Letters Bible Stories shares the stories of how Jesus came to be. Each story has a scripture reference and a sweet love letter from God that is a lift-flap letter on the page.
This is a truly special book that is a wonderful addition to our holiday reading. I think that this is good for younger kids but some but school age will also really love the stories in this one. There is plenty of information about how Jesus came to this earth and it is a written in a wonderful way for children. The illustrations by Rachel Clowes are whimsical and capture each tale beautifully.

from God cleverly combines both prose and poetry as the story of Jesus’
birth unfolds. The book includes seven stories, beginning with Isaiah’s
prophecy and ending with the visit of the wise men. Following each
story, the child will find his or her own letter from God, folded into a
small envelope attached to the page. Each letter begins with a space in
which to write the child’s name, so each one can be specially addressed
to the child.
