Celebrate VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR DAY on March 20th! Craft Idea & Giveaway! #ad #VHCday

Today is not only the first day of Spring but it is also Very Hungry Caterpillar Day! We took the morning to read our favorite story and to do some spring/caterpillar crafts. My little guy loves to paint and it was so easy to get creative and make a caterpillar.

We used to green paint to create the circles with a circle foam dauber. I got a pack of 3 on clearance at Target.

Next we pulled out our Thin Kwik Stix to do the legs and antenna.

Adding a set of googly eyes completed this project!

While I was at target I saw this set of wooden fruit craft that you can paint. I thought it went perfect with The Hungry Caterpillar theme so I picked them up. The set was near the craft isle and it comes with a cute wooden shopping basket to store the fruit in.
