Sahara Sam's was kind enough to host a few of us New Jersey Bloggers for a night of fun. Located in Berlin, NJ it is a wonderful indoor water park. During the summer months they have additional outdoor attractions as well. I brought one of my good friends along with my 4 children (ages 1-16) and teen cousin to the event. It is always wonderful when you can have such an age range go to one attraction and all enjoy themselves.
As bloggers we were treated to an outside cabana which had seating and even a curtain for privacy. It was the perfect place to store our towels and shoes as well as hang out when we needed a little down time. They have cabanas available to rent for the day both inside and outside.
The cafeteria features a wide variety of food from chicken fingers to ice cream. I have to say the chicken fingers are some of the best we've had and I often joke with my son about stopping by to just get chicken fingers. We were treated in the outdoor picnic area to a sampler of different appetizers. All were delicious. This is one amusement park where we look forward to meal times and swimming really does work up an appetite!
My big kids ran off almost instantly to do the rides. They enjoy the lazy river, water slides and wave pool. I'm not much of a swimmer so I hung out with my littles in the indoor and outdoor splash areas. They both loved these areas because they are about a foot deep and perfect for them to move about freely. We also took them in the new indoor pool. This was my favorite feature. It is nice and warm in that room and the pool is big. It is part of the expansion that opened last year and I think it was the thing they were missing - a good indoor pool. I'm so happy they put it in. My friend and I joked about how we wish we were kidless and would have just hung out there all day!
We really enjoyed our time at Sahara Sam's - as we do every time. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. There is just about anything you can think of from lockers, to changing rooms, plenty of chairs and even an adult hot tub.
