Homeschool Must Have - CHSH-Teach.com

This coming school year marks our sixth year. While I'm no expert there are some things I've learned along the journey. Curriculum choices matter. Curriculum might claim to be complete but you will most likely supplement here and there. The internet has tons of things but searching is a chore. Last year, I was lucky to review CHSH-Teach.com as part of the crew. I fell in love instantly because of the layout of the site. Everything is broken up into categories. You can look by subject or grade. There are printables for Pre-K - 12th grade.

One of the best resources is the CHSH-Teach email. It is free to sign up and owner Lynda Ackert shares what's new on the site. Honestly, I don't open many emails but I always open this one often there is a freebie printable included in the email!

Just last week I found out about eclipse printables added. It was timely and appreciated. That's another plus - there is constantly new items being added. I love that new resources keep coming! The new Phases of the Moon Cards are going to be a perfect addition to our homeschool. I plan on printing them, cutting them out and hanging them up.

One of my favorite newer features is the Monthly Learning Packs. These are huge themed sets of worksheets covering various material like math, reading, coloring and more. I love how easy these sheets make my planning. I can just go to the month and print what I want, add to a folder and pull out when needed. It is the perfect supplement to our regular curriculum.

 High school Resources

High school resources can be hard to find. CHSH Download Club has added many new resources to really help in this area. From the new spelling list, literature studies and English course - you will be set for high school language arts. There are also items for history, math and science.

I have barely scratched the surface on the different things you can find on this wonderful site. There are holiday lapbooks, coloring sheets, activity pages and shape books - to name a few. I always look for holiday resources and have found this to be the best one stop place for me to easily find what I'm wanting for each holiday.

There are teacher resources, electives like Heath for grades k-8 and even foreign languages. Many of the items are full curricula - not just a few worksheets. You could easily build a school year around this site. I plan on using the Character Studies this fall with my first grader. It looks like a fantastic curriculum and is just what we need to study this year.

CHSH-TEACH.com is a online downloadable resource. Annual memberships are $29.99 and lifetime memberships just $149.99.

  1. I like to piecemeal my own curriculum, so having a resource like this would be super helpful!

  3. I would utilize the math resources to review previously taught skills or to introduce new concepts. I like the Character Traits study and would use that in the morning as part of our homeschool curricula to teach virtues.
