Mily Miss Questions DVD Giveaway #WIN

Kids are full of hard to answer questions. Some things they ask just don't have a solid answer. Sometimes the answers depend on the parents faith or beliefs. So what is an inquisitive supposed to do with those burning questions? In Mily Miss Questions - a french cartoon- we have a main character who gets to the bottom of those questions. She asks her friends and family to form valid answers.

The first episode had me a bit concerned as I was watching with my 6 year old son. The episode is called Family Portrait and they discuss where babies come from. Pleasantly not how they are physically born but more like the big bold universe question of "where". Mily knows that she was in her mommy's tummy and adults confirm that she comes from her parents. I have to say I was impressed with how this question was answered. It instilled the family bond and that we come from many generations. I did not end up having to answer any uncomfortable questions with Jace after watching. He loved the show but I do think I would like him to be just a tad bit older to watch and I think the 8 and up crowd would really appreciate the topics and fully understand what they were learning.

The show is also interesting because it is a mixed media look. The characters are all cartoons but the world around them is often more realistic. I liked the look of that. To me it was very modern looking. There is a bit of a fantasy element as the family dog occasionally talks to Mily but not everyone knows he can talk. Overall, I think this is a show worth checking out!
