I recently had the opportuntiy to read and review Tough Guys and Drama Queens: How Not To Get Blindsided By Your Child's Teen Years
by Mark Gregston. I thought this book would be a great resource for the upcoming teen years. The beginning of the book goes over many many different scenarios of what could happen to your kid. It doesn't actually give any practical advice until chapter 10. The thing is after reading 90 pages I was depressed because there were no practical solutions to the actual problems discussed. There were good tips in the ending chapters but the overall flow of the book just didn't work for me. I would have liked each chapter to work through the issue and give guidance and suggestion. Gregston has a true love for teens and that shined through the whole book.
