5 Days of Our Favorite Books ~ Day 3! #bloghop

*This post contains affiliate links*

Welcome to day 3 of the blog hop!  Today I'm going to share a series I read with my kids last school year.  We had studied Greek Mythology briefly in Mystery of History Volume 1 and my kids were interested in learning more.

So we used the book D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths:

Then to take the learning further we read the Percy Jackson Series!

My kids literally begged me to read more they loved these books so much.  This series is probably best for 8+ because there are light references to dating.  Otherwise they are pretty good.  (Not so much with the next set in the series which is heavy dating...)  They were great for reading aloud because there was so much action.  Honestly I enjoyed them as much as the kids did!!

I hope you enjoyed this stop on the hop.  Be sure to stop by my friends:

  1. Percy Jackson is a fav or mine and my husbands! We have shared them with the kiddos, but I think they are still a bit young for them....

  3. We haven't done much mythology yet, but we like the other D'Aulaires books we've read so far. Thanks for the recommendations!
