9th Grade Curriculum Choices - 2014- Back To Homeschool Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of the Blog Hop!

I don't know about you but I LOVE seeing what curriculum others choose for their kids.  It inspires me to make my on choices.  We have our oldest entering 9th grade this year and I think I have it all planned out!

History:

Mystery of History Volume 3
(with notebooking pages, and additional readings)

The Renaissance: A Short History

Science:

Apologia Physical Science
with: Notebooking journal and science kit

Math:
Still debating but it looks like...

Teaching Textbooks Algebra 1
(CTC Math is in the running if TT doesn't work)

English:

Institute for Excellence in Literature (includes writing) - Intro to Literature (English  I)

Wordly Wise 9

Fix-It Grammar- Book 2 (review coming in September!!)

Bible:
LifePac Grade 10 - Old Testament

Additional:

Bible reading
piano lessons
Bible Greek

I haven't really scheduled in a set elective yet because I plan on reapplying for the Schoolhouse Review Crew and last year several things came our way that worked great as electives (our favorite being Micro Business) and I imagine next year might be the same.  If not I'll add something.

  1. My oldest absolutely loved MOH 3, which is what inspired me to use MOH 1 this year. It made me a little sad that MOH 4 is coming out after he graduated.
