Z is for Zacchaeus #abcblogging

I'm sure you have heard the children's song about Zacchaeus:

Zacchaeus was a wee little man ,
and a wee little man was he.
He climbed up in a sycamore tree
For the Lord he wanted to see.

And when the Savior passed that way
He looked up in the tree.
And said, 'Zacchaeus, you come down!
For I'm going to your house today!
For I'm going to your house today!'

We find his story in Luke 19: 1-10.

Just like the song he was short and climbed a tree.  Jesus speaks to him and goes to his house to fellowship.  Zacchaeus wasn't a nice man - he even confesses his sins right then and there to Jesus.

however...

That day his life is complete changed!

Why?  Because he meets Jesus.

Have you had a time where you've met Jesus?  Where you asked him to become your personal Savior?  Confessed that you are sinner and that there is nothing you can do, no good work or deed to get yourself into heaven?  Have you asked Jesus to forgive you?

When it all comes down to it the most important thing you can do is have a personal relationship with Jesus!

  1. Love that poem about Zacchaeus. Never heard it before. The best gift anyone can have is the salvation of Christ.
