Out of all the years of homeschooling (this being our 5th) this is the one I'm most nervous about. There is a lot of pressure to make sure you kid can read, writing and do some basic math. I poured over curriculum and at the end of the day no one company had a box set that fit our needs 100%. Jace being an older kinder already knows a bunch. I needed to be able to customize because he would be bored learning basic shapes, numbers and letters ... again.
Here are our choices:
First Start Reading from Memoria Press
along with this is all of their reading and writing plus phonic books. It is almost their entire Kinder curriculum (minus math and copywork)
Patriotic Penmenship for copywork
Math Lessons for Living Education from Masterbooks
Plus Horizons Kindergarten Math (Jace wants variety but I just love the Masterbooks math so much more than horizons...)
Additional subject we will hit on these once or so a week:
Heath : Way Comes Home
Animal Atlas and Animal Planet books
Masterbooks Kindergarten Curriculum along with varies stories from a few children's bibles and devotionals we have.
ESA and Talking Fingers for online supplement
Actually looking at this list I'm quite surprised by how everything except for the horizons math is a review product! Goes to show you that I've really liked what we have used for review products and I'm sticking with them.
