The Berenstain Bears and the Christmas Angel #holiday

I have a special book to share with you today. I hope you will consider adding this to your 25 days of Christmas books or holiday book bin because this has become a fast favorite of mine. The Berenstain Bears and the Christmas Angel starts out with the cubs and a normal snow day. They go outside to enjoy the special weather event. While outside, they decide to make a snow-bear but not just any snow-bear and snow-angel-bear. They have a delightful time building it and when it is time to come inside Mama Bear tells them about the different types of Angels. Angels of warning and Angels of protection and so on. I loved this because when I was a little girl I often wondered about Angels. We hear of them mentioned in bible stories or someone thanking their guardian angel but I did not realize there were different kinds as a child. This is a pretty simple explanation but that simplicity is perfect for little children. Giving them clear information but in a small digestible amount.

Of course I always love our bear family and this book was a wonderful addition to that collection. It is party of their Living Lights - A Faith Story series which includes biblical teachings and scripture in the stories.

about:

In the newest Berenstain Bears Living Lights book, The Berenstain Bears and the Christmas Angel, the cubs discover there’s more to angels than wings and flowing white robes!
It is almost Christmas and there is finally snow in Bear Country. Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear are ready for some winter fun! But when they can’t decide what kind of snowbear to build, Honey Bear’s snow angel gives the older cubs a great idea. Soon the cubs have built a Christmas snow angel. Later, as they warm up with some hot cocoa, Mama and Papa give the cubs a little lesson about some very special angels and the work they do for God.
