Time For Kids: Presidents Of The United States #ad #giveaway

President's Day is on February 20th this year and it is just around the corner. Naturally this week I'll be pulling out my books on the Presidents and giving our Kindergartener a bit of a look at the 45 Presidents we've had. I recently received Time For Kids: Presidents Of The United States and this has been a perfect resource for the holiday.

  • Special coverage of the 2016 election, with TIME For Kids Kid Reporters, puts kids in the action.
  • Includes an introduction to first ladies and life at the White House.
  • Extra sections explore the branches of government, the two-party system, and the electoral process.

FREE Activity Kit can be found HERE - which includes worksheets perfect for pairing with this book.

My Thoughts:

I really like the layout of this book. For our homeschool it is perfect for me to read aloud to my child. The beginning goes over a bit of our government's history including the Branches of Government and the Political Parties. Then it gives a brief history of each of our 45 presidents. I like how it give a good look at the presidents and includes some positives but has some negatives too. I think this has a fairly neutral feel and you won't be disappointed from either party you support. President Trump is also included which is important as it wouldn't be complete without including our current president. At the back of the book is a glance in the White House and a brief look at the last election. This is the prefect book for President's Day and introducing the topic to younger kids. I think children who are reading would find this to be an interesting book as well.

WIN WIN WIN
One lucky reader will win a copy of Presidents of the United States

  3. Trick question lol! Forty-four different people have served as presidents, but technically we're on the 45th now since Grover Cleveland counts as both the 22nd and 24th President (since he lost the election in between).
