Amazon has launched their own 'beauty' box program. This particular one is for men's grooming products. It is a little different than subscription boxes as it is a one time purchase. Plus they give you the purchase cost if you buy select items. So say you buy the razor pictured above you would get the purchase cost back off that order. (More details on that in a bit.)
The box features sample sized, deluxe sized and a full size product.
As you can see we received:
- Gillette Mach 3 Razor
- Head & Shoulders sample
- Colgate Total Toothpaste sample
- Axe deodorant sample
- and two packet sized samples from Cetaphil and The Body Shop
This box took a bit longer to come even though it is an Amazon Prime purchase. (You have to be a Prime member to purchase it.)
Now it is only $9.99 to purchase this box and the razor is about a $6 value so you do get a nice sized item for the initial purchase.
Now lets talk about the credit. You have to purchase from a select set of products. I liked that there were more to choose from than just what I got from the box. There was a variety of razors, shampoos, body washes and stuff like that. It is a little tricky to find what you can order but on the main page of the box there is a little link - clicking on the learn more will take you to the list.
If your purchase is less than $9.99 they only apply some of the credit to the order. Also not all items are available for prime shipping and some are add-ons so it is a bit tricky. I had purchased the women's box (review to come on that one) so I combined the two for my credit order and I was able to get the free shipping that way. I also went a tad bit over because the products I wanted were more than the boxes.
As you can see I spent enough to qualify for the credits. I also was able to apply an Amazon coupon too which was nice! Overall I'm still pretty pleased with this whole set up. It was nice to try some new to me products and the credit to do that was super nice.
