We love art. We love art supplies. Most of all we love Kwik Stix. They are an easy, mess free way to make painting super easy for this tired homeschooling Mom. We have quite the collection of colors from classics, neon and metallics. Now Kwik Stix has created new Thin Stix. These are the same formula but in a thinner stick which allows for more control when creating.
I have been wanting to pull out an art book featuring famous paintings to go over with Jace for some time. So when we received our new Kwik Stix I knew this would be a great little activity. We read and flipped through the book then I opened to Van Gogh's famous painting Sunflowers. That was our inspiration for creating.
True to Jace's nature he just created what he wanted. If you can see up there in the top, left of the picture that is his flowers then next to that is pikachu from pokemon (what he loves to draw and paint for everything.)
I tried my hand at my own version. If you move fast you can layer the Kwik Stix as they have a short drying time. I used my finger to blend and worked in layers. I think it came out pretty good. The best part is that picture dried faster than I created it. I love the ease of use from these paint sticks. They clean up just as beautifully because Jace had gotten some on my table and it just wiped away.
WIN WIN WIN
One lucky reader will win a set of Thin Stix!
