Boxycharm April Review

Another month another Boxycharm! This month had some highs and a few lows. We received five products - all full sized which is always a big plus. I feel like some of the products are a bit odd. For example we received another highlighter. I feel like we've been getting those a lot lately. If it was eyeshadow I wouldn't care but really how many highlighters can one girl have? Ok let's get into what I received.

Rodeo Drive Highlighter from Ofra Cosmetics - $35

This is a beautiful highlighter. It is a gold tone and I have nothing like it in my collection. It has made me fall in love with highlighters because it sits so nice on the face and doesn't accent my dryness or wrinkles on my cheeks.

Blend Squad: 3 Piece Contour Blending Sponges by PUR - $36

First off I love that we received 3  of these. I already passed one onto a friend so she could try one. The bright colors are also very fun. They are a bit stiff compared to my ecotools sponge but I don't mind that too much. I've seen some YouTubers complaining that the product has changed and it used to be softer. Most said they were disappointed in the new feel of them.

Concealer Paletter by Measurable Difference - $19.99

I didn't like this product. I'm so fair that only like 2 shades work for concealer.  Maybe another for contour but they are all creamy and the texture is not consistent within the colors. It was fun in concept but a big miss for me.

Cargo Lip Gloss - $16

This came in a neutral brown which is a nice color. I wanted to love this but it is the stickiest formula. Ugh, I hate sticky lipglosses. Then the next flaw - which is a big one - is that the brush part of the applicator is so flimsy that it makes it very hard to apply. If I had purchased this myself I would have returned it. Yep, it is that bad.

Hairgurt Smoothing Yogurt Shampoo - $10

I didn't think I would like this but in fact I love it. I have a conditioner/mask product from a previous box that I thought was just okay but once paired with this shampoo the combination is amazing. It has this strange strawberry smell which I don't mind but some might. I am going to look into repurchasing this and the mask because it has made my hair so soft. I love them.

This box is all FULL sized products and the retail on this box is $116.99!!!  That isn't too bad for the $21 I spent. While I didn't like two of the products the products I did like came to $81 so it was still a good deal for me. I'm hoping next month will be a better hit for me. So far this is still my favorite subscription box but I hope they start offering some more unique items.
