Holiday Gift Guide: Weleda Skin Care

A few years back I discovered one of my favorite brands - Weleda. It started out simple with their hand creams. (Which are amazing with winter skin and the only thing my 17 year old son will use!) Next, I discovered their baby skin care line. ( I love the sensitive line and the calendula line.) These products have become staples in our daily care.

I was excited to try out their skin care line for adults as part of my Holiday Gift Guide. I was sent the entire line of Sensitive Skin  products.  I've been using these products for a few weeks and I'm totally loving them. Before using my skin had it's typical fall flare-up. My cheeks were red and irritated. However, I added the products into my daily routine and it all cleared up. (Keep in mind I'm no doctor, I'm just sharing my experience.) I believe this is because my skin was being finicky to the changing weather and needed that extra TLC.

Products:

Sensitive Skin Cleansing Lotion

This is a milky lotion that you use to clean your face. You need just a tiny bit to get things going. I wear a full face of make-up and this worked well at removing everything. My skin felt soft after each use. You can use a warm wash cloth to remove the cleanser or rinse (which is what I do.) One thing I really liked about this was that it did not sting my eyes.

Sensitive Skin Facial Lotion

This product is perfect for your day time moisturizer - which is exactly how I used it. You use about a pea sized amount because a little goes a long way. It absorbs quickly which is nice for applying makeup after. My skin is combination and this product worked well. It helped with my dry areas and didn't leave me a greasy mess where I tend to get slick.

Sensitive Skin Facial Cream

This is a slightly thicker cream and it is perfect for a night time cream or for someone who is very dry. This was wonderful at night for me. I loved how soft and moisturized my skin felt. It absorbed nicely too.

Sensitive Skin Facial Oil

I LOVE skin oils! I started using them a few years ago and they make such a difference in my skin. I have found I'm less oily since starting (and less dry.) It somehow balances my skin like nothing else. This oil is made with Almond oil and it smells so nice. It is a quick drying oil so you don't have to worry about that. I've used it both ways recommended. It is great for removing stubborn eye-makeup. For that use, I did a little oil on a cotton ball then swiped a few time following with the Sensitive Skin Cream Cleanser. My favorite way to use this though, is as a face oil. I apply just a drop or two before my moisturizer. It gives it a wonderful boost.

As you can see I loved these products and they have found a permanent home in my skin care routine. They are not overly perfumy - in fact there is just the faintest almond scent. Weleda is known for their quality ingredients which I also love. I added this line to my Holiday Gift Guide because I have loved every product I've tried.
