Sahara Sam's Monster Splash Party & Halloween Horrors!

On Friday we were so thankful to be hosted by our local indoor water-park - Sahara Sam's. Located in West Berlin, NJ this is a wonderful family attraction open year round. The weather is always perfect inside! For our stay we were able to participate in two of their fall activities. Monster Splash Party and Halloween Horrors!

 MONSTER SPLASH PARTY
Friday nights in October 4-9pm

Monster Splash Party is located inside the water-park. It runs from 4-9pm. The night we went the foam party dropped at 7:30 so be sure to ask an attendant so you can plan and not miss this fun! My 3 year old loved this part!! (My 8 year old ran off with his older brother and missed all the foam and that is why planning is key!) This event runs on Friday nights during October and is included with standard admission! **NOTE** Lizard Lagoon (the toddler water area) is closed on Monster Splash nights to keep the foam out of the pool - so plan accordingly with your little ones.

HALLOWEEN HORRORS
Friday and Saturday Nights in October, 5-10:30pm

This event is located outside the park where the summer water attractions are located (they of course are closed for the season.)  You have two options for this event. Come for $9.99 and just do this part or it is included in your full admission to the park. They also offer a $3 pumpkin picking and decorating from 5-7. The real fun starts when it gets dark with 3 horror walk-thrus.

The timing is key if you would like to do both events on the same day but it is 100% doable! Here is how we did our night to make the most out of both events. We first went and did our pumpkins outside. Then we dropped them off to our car and headed inside to grab some dinner at the concession stand. It was warm enough that we wore our bathing suits but we were chilly - next time we will bring out suits and get changed! We played in the park for about 2 hours than got everyone changed from their wet clothes and headed outside to do the spooky things!

The ages of my kids for this night were 3, 8 and 17. All enjoyed themselves. As I said earlier my oldest child took my 8 year old and they did all the water slides and the lazy river. My youngest stayed with me and did the foam and Tim-buk-tu attraction for most of our night. We loved the DJ and he played a great mix of dance music! We very much enjoyed our time indoors but honestly we always do!

Outside was beautifully themed! I don't want to give too much away but the whole park is transformed and you definitely can tell it is Halloween. My 3 year old was a little intimidated but he did every attraction! Use your own judgement if your younger children can handle the scary party. We saw kids of all ages and heard plenty of screams! There are 3 attractions - Midway Mayhem, Zombie Zone and Boom Town. Remember to plan with the weather too as it was quite cold the night we went!

I spoke with many people who were at the event and the theme that rang out is get a Season Pass! Currently there is a special for $39.99 per person and it includes membership up until December of 2020! That means you can do the Halloween events this year and next year as well as the next big event which is Swimming with Santa this year and next!! This is a fantastic value!

Are you planning on visiting Sahara Sam's this fall?
