Some days I just can't make it to the store for all the ingredients necessary to create a wonderful Italian meal at home. Let's face it I have four kids and we homeschool - that takes up the bulk of our day and grocery shopping is the last thing on my mind. My kids love pasta and meatballs. It is a staple in our home as everyone eats it so I like keeping plenty of boxes of thin spaghetti and jars of sauce to make a quick lunch, side for dinner or sometimes the whole dinner.
Did you know that RAGÚ is celebrating 80 years? I was surprised by that number but then again not really. My mom used RAGÚ growing up and I've used it over the years for my family as well. It is familiar and comforting. You'll have to read the story of Assunta - founder- and how she came to America and created the company. There is a wonderful timeline that shows this progression.
A lot has changed over the years from packaging to the many varieties but quality and taste still reign supreme! Happy Anniversary RAGÚ!!!

I am not familiar with the characters of the Bernstein Bears. I remember reading their books as a kid, but that was a long time ago.
